Synopsis:

How Are You, Dad? Is composed of more than 10
short stories, each lasting around 5 to 10 minutes.The project is Chang’s present as a son to his father, and a gift to everyone who can relate to these stories, either as a child or a parent. From drunken fathers who are comforted by their six-year-old sons, to fathers who fake medical emergencies in order to get his daughter’s attention, to fathers who learn how to tango after retiring from army life and living alone, these ten stories tell the hopes and joys of fathers nurturing their children, the loneliness and yearning of fathers who would like to do more, and the memories and relationships ultimately shared by fathers and their children.

本片描繪十種不同性格的父親，用各自的方式表達對孩子的愛與關懷：老闆為不良於行的女兒過生日，沒想到小弟竟然買錯了蛋糕，於是展開一場搶救蛋糕大作戰；清早剛下班的工人，為了帶遲到的兒子趕火車，急忙地騎著三輪車載兒子穿過山間與小溪，跟火車賽跑……。
故事中不時穿插令人發噱的幽默和至深的情感，生動且細膩地呈現台灣的社會現況，並道出你我和父親之間那份既疏離又難以表達的愛。
